Because of sin, sickness and death have entered the world, but are overcome through the resurrection of Jesus. He hears the cry of those in need, healing the sick and raising the dead to life.
He made himself poor that we might become rich.

St. Rose Catholic Church
St. Rose Parish officially came into existence in 1940. It was originally the chapel of St. Patrick's Home for Children, built in 1932 (hence the small size). It was also named in honor of St. Rose of Lima and was the first Catholic Church in Sacramento (1849). Today our parish celebrates 14 masses every Sunday, each with a "full house." Along with this, we also celebrate weekday masses, sharing our church with St. Patrick's Academy, adult religous education (R.C.I.A.), and youth religous education (C.C.D.).
